Microsoft Access for Office 97 will be used for this 12-hour course in which beginning concepts of database development and use are taught. The student will learn to design a table, add and edit records. Locating, sorting and deleting records will be covered. Designing and applying queries, reports, and forms will equip a beginner to accomplish everyday database tasks. The text used is Microsoft Office User Specialist approved courseware. Forms for combining information from related tables are explored, including the application of a combo box, a list box, and option group and form tab order. In this 12-hour class the experienced user will learn advanced features which will allow masterful utilization of Microsoft Access for Office 97. After completing the class, training participants will be able to apply and use Cascade Update and Cascade Delete properties. They will apply selection criteria and parameters in queries, then design advanced queries with the SQL system. Additionally, they will learn to work with advanced forms and reports functions and expressions. You will learn how to create database automation features by building various macros to include an Autoexec macro. The text used is Microsoft Office User Specialist approved courseware.
