This is our most in-depth course about databases. Work with Microsoft Access for Office 97 and learn how to put an entire office system together. There will be in-class and take-home exercises every week. Starting from a beginning level, this 48-hour course will take you all the way to making customized applications. Upon completion of this in depth class, you will acquire the necessary skills to create a complex database system for your own office. Specifically, you will learn how to: plan and design a database system, create tables with rules for checking the accuracy of data, sort data in convenient arrangements, create searches for anything you want to find, design special screen forms for data entry, make professional-looking reports, do calculations, and create push button menus so others can use your database system. Prerequisite: Beginning MS Access 8.0 (5744/5844).
