Professional Development

Nursing & Allied Health Professional Programs

The University of New Mexico College of Nursing, Division of Continuing Education, and professionals from the community have joined forces to provide current and vital information to registered nurses and professionals in the allied health care fields. Each course is designed to facilitate growth in professional practice with the ultimate goal of improving the outcome of health care.

Approved Continuing Nursing Education: Courses are accepted by the New Mexico Board of Nursing in fulfillment of Continuing Nursing Education requirements. The number of contact hours approved for each course counts toward the 30 required hours.

Destino: A Special Performance by Jerry Mondragon, teacher, playwright, poet and actor.
A bilingual, one-man play which uses storytelling, traditional music and hunor to give a universal message of self-empowerment.


Herbal Treatments in Primary Care

Saturday, November 7 from 8:30am - 4:30pm
at Lovelace Education Building

A one-day workshop with Tieraona Low Dog, MD. Learn about herbal treatments for menopausal symptoms, managing stress, and herbal preparations for children, and more.

Sponsored by the New Mexico Nurse Practitioner Council and co-sponsored by the UNM Nursing & Allied Health Professional Development Program and the UNM College of Nursing.
