Seminars in Management Certificate Program
This certificate program is designed for those who do not have the time to take the in-depth course work offered in the Professional Development Programs other Management certificate programs. These courses were specifically developed for those individuals who are interested in honing their management skills in a hands-on, experiential setting. Each seminar will present cutting-edge knowledge and will give students practice in applying that knowledge.
To earn the Seminars in Management Certificate, you must take at least five courses from the bulleted listing below. Seminars may be taken in any order, and there is no time limit for completion of the certificate. They may be taken either independently or as a series.

1903 Listening for Understanding
Superior listening ability is the most important communication skill. Research shows that the largest portion of a supervisors communication time is not spent speaking but listening. Therefore, to neglect this skill is to neglect the most important area of communication. Successful listening helps you to get results by ensuring that you are getting the information you need to do your job well, and it also is the worlds greatest, and least expensive, morale builder. Please join us for this enjoyable, hands-on workshop in developing excellent listening skills.

1906 ABCs of Customer Service: Using External Skills on Internal Customers
What works to create satisfied external customers works on internal customers such as supervisors, peers and subordinates. Participants in this class will learn to recognize what creates exceptional customer service and translate that into the basic skills needed to create delighted internal customers. There will be time allotted to practice skills learned.
