4, 11, 18 June 08:
Vineyard opended his second season with back to back 26 point 9 rebound games, but the aptly named Leftovers played with vastly different teams in both games. The season opener only saw two of the players on the official roster and was a game which combined a lot of turnovers with little to no defense (I wonder why they lost?). The second game saw the Leftover's first victory of the season, however there is still much work for the team to do. In the third game, the opponent was a much younger team and was consequently able to out run the Leftovers. The Leftovers made a run at the start of the second half and came within 3 despite a 24 point halftime deficit, however they were unable to sustain the rally and fell in the end.

25 June 08:
The Leftovers doubled their wins on the season with a hard fought victory despite the worst ref in the league. If Chris Webber were given the option to retract an errant time-out call Michigan and the Fab Five may have won a NCAA championship. They also may have won if they had an infinite number of timeouts as the opponent apparently did. Furthermore, fouls are only fouls if they amuse the ref and keep the game interesting for him. But, despite these gross innacuracies, maybe we should have asked if his last name is Donaghy, the Leftovers played some of their best defense and played pretty well to pull out the win.

2 July 08:
The Leftover doubled their win streak with a solid victory. The Leftovers led almost the entire game and pulled away in the second half on strong defense and good passing. Vineyard was dissapointed with his free throw shooting and turnovers, but he had another strong showing playing 35 minutes and grabbing a season high 11 rebounds to go with his 21 points.

9 July 08:
Ouch! The Leftovers lost by approximately 25 points. Either they played bad defense or else the opposing team is an offensive jugernaut and always makes 80% of their shots. So let's say they are an offensive jugernaut.

16 July 08:
The Leftovers bounced back and won this game by approximately 25 points and appeared to be an offensive jugernaut themselves. Despite playing with no subs, the Leftovers were able to overpower the younger but smaller Free Agents.

23 July 08:
In a rematch of the second game of the year, the Leftovers battled throughout the entire game, but could never get over the hump and lost a relatively evenly matched game. With only one game left in the regular season, the Leftovers seek to bounce back and enter the playoffs with a winning record.

So I think I'm missing some games here, but I can't remember so a general summary will have to suffice. The Leftovers we awarded the top seed in the second bracket and won their first round matchup to make it to the championship game. The summer before Vineyard also led his team to the championship game, however he was unable to play due to a class at the same time. This time however Vineyard made the game! BUT he only played five minutes before being injured. After going up for a rebound he was pushed in his back and the forward momentum sent him landing onto a teammates foot. Coming down full force on his right ankle Vineyard was injured and had to hobble off the court. He made a brief attempt to re-enter the game with minutes left in the first half, but was unable to run, jump, or move in general and gave up on the vallant comeback. The Leftovers never could climb into the game and lost by about 20 points. Vineyard's ankle still hasn't fully recovered, and he hasn't played any basketball since then.
