The music in the files on this page are all my own compositions. Download as many of them as you like.

Please observe the following conditions:

1) Although most of these pieces haven't been published yet, please observe that they are copyrighted.
2) Some files are zipped either with Pkzip or LHA, so you'll need pkunzip or Lha to open them. Some of the MIDI files can be played back as they are.
3) The printable files themselves are in Finale's .mus format, so you will need access to Finale. The files were created on a PC, but the newer Macs should be able to read or convert them.
4) I may decide to publish some or all of the music, depending on what sort of feedback I get from performers real or potential. If you have any comments at all on them, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
5) I also feel I should mention that the MIDI files here can only give a rough presentation of what the actual music sounds like. This condition will hopefully improve with time as I learn more about working with MIDI files.

  • A sample from Songs from Chamber Music ,
    For high voice with piano. Text is from "Chamber Music" by James Joyce: "Because your voice was at my side..." Length: c. 30 sec. Finale file joyce06a.mus, compressed with Pkzip.
    The entire cycle consists of 10 songs from the same source. Most of them are very brief. Length: c. 12-15 min.

    A Cycle of Four songs for high voice with piano. Texts are poems of Sara Teasdale, from her book of the same title. Length: c. 8 min.
