Levi was born in Earl Twp., Berks Co., Pa., in 1824. He was reared upon the farm. When he was 23 years old he learned the coach making trade, and followed the sam some years. He went to Sinking Spring and purchased the Central House, which he conduted for 25 years. He then retired and purchased a residence on Main St. in Sinking Spring, Berks, Co., Pa., with a daughter. He was a Democrat.
Mr. Brumbach married (1st) Rebecca Moser, born Aug. 25, 1826; died Aug 6, 1871, and interred in the Sinking Spring cemetery. He married (2nd) Emeline Moser. He had nine children:
