NOTE: If the
instructor-provided cover sheet, listing the criteria below, is present,
accurately completed, and ALL criteria have been met, student will be assigned
11 points.
Our Instructional Strategy Description paper
is typed, double-spaced, uses 12 pt font, and has 1” margins.
We used section headings (i.e. ‘description’
and ‘example’).
All group members contributed significantly
to this project.
This project (or significant portions of this
project) has not been turned in for a grade in another course.
Our report includes:
A description of the assigned instructional
strategy.
A rationale for the assigned instructional
strategy.
An example of the assigned instructional strategy.
We used “people-first” language consistently.
We cited at least three credible* resources
in the body of the paper.
Every time we used information from a particular
source we indicated where the information came from (not just at the end
of the paragraph).
We paraphrased information from our sources
in our own words, in our own sentence structure (and we still indicated
where the information came from).
We only cited those resources we actually
read -- if we included ‘secondary sources’ in our paper, we made it clear
in the in-text citation what we actually read and what we did not actually
read, AND we did not include any secondary sources on the reference page.
All direct quotes were indicated by: quotation
marks (or block indentation of longer than 40 words), the last name of
the author(s), the year of publication, and the page number where we found
the quote.
All direct quotes were included exactly as
written in the original source.
All of the resources cited in the body of
the paper accurately listed on a separate page for references.
Additional
Criteria:
The description of the strategy was very accurate.
(1 point)
The rationale for using the strategy was very
clearly described. (1 point)
The example of the strategy was relevant and
appropriate. (1 point)
