DWI Citation Tracking File

The information found in the Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Citation Tracking file is derived from the DWI Master database. The Motor Vehicle Division of the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department uses the DWI Master file to manage the Administrative Revocation Process.

It is important to note that there is one record in the DWI Citation Tracking file for each DWI arrest.

Please contact the New Mexico Traffic Safety Bureau (1-505-827-0427) if you are interested in pursuing a research project that uses this database.

The documentation for the DWI Citation Tracking File is presented below in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Please note that this documentation describes the SAS version of this data. DGR can convert portions of this data to other formats such as ARC/INFO and DBase when necessary.
