NM State Police District Traffic Crash GIS

This WWW document is currently being prepared. Expect to see information for all State Police Districts by the spring or 2003.

The traffic crash maps available for NM State Police Districts were prepared by DGR using the Geographic Road Network Database (GRNDB) system. The GRNDB is a transportation oriented GIS designed specifically to display traffic crash data.

The traffic crash database contains a multitude of information, however, this page features only those maps we routinely produce for various public agencies and officials. You may contact the New Mexico Traffic Safety Bureau (TSB) should you require a special map for official or public information uses.

The milepost markers are approximations of their real locations. They are derived by interpolating from a few known locations present in the Accident Location Coding Guide (ALCG) which is prepared by DGR for the NM Traffic Safety Bureau.

These maps are organized by date (year) of crash data. You can click on the thumbnail sketch of the "MAP" to display it in detail.

For more detailed information about traffic crashes in the communities that compose a State Police District please review the statistics presented in the Community Reports. Many of the statistics presented in these Community Reports can be mapped using the GRNDB system developed by DGR.
