Digital Media Arts Program: Facilities
The facilities for the Digital Media Arts Program rival any similar programs at other universities. We are committed to providing our students with the necessary hardware and software to succeed in school and beyond. We boast three large classrooms completely equipped with:
- One Dual Platform Open Computer Lab for student use outside class time: PC and Mac
- A brand new Video Studio fully equipped with Mac Pro Computers spec'd out for video, with a 30" Mac Flatscreen display at each workstation
- A brand new Game Art and Animation lab fully equipped with Mac Pro Computers spec'd out for animation with 3D mice and Cintiq tablets
- An "Organic Motion" motion capture stage fully equipped to capture real-time markerless motion to apply to 3D character models
- Three large format, full-color printers including HP and Epson
- Three small format Epson printers
- Two high-resolution, large bed Epson Scanners
- One high-resolution, large format 44" wide scanner
- A small-run Xerox Phaser publisher printer
- Green Screens, Photo Swoops and a large Back Drop set-up
- Tungsten and Strobe lighting for photo and video
- A Sound Booth with High-end audio recording equipment and Mac Workstation
- Two Canon HD cameras
- Multiple small-format video cameras (available for student check-out)
- Multiple small-format digital cameras (available for student check-out)
- Wacom Tablets for every workstation
- Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium on every computer
- Final Cut Pro on all Macs in Video Lab
- Autodesk Maya, Motion Builder, 3DS Max in Game Art & Animation Lab
- An XBOX 360 with multiple wireless remotes that will run student created and exported games using the Torque 360 game engine.
