Chemistry Principles is the world's first electronic media introductory chemistry textbook. It introduces the principles of matter and teaches the use of heuristics and algorithms (recipes) for solving chemical problems. It is distributed freely on the WWW for the benefit of chemistry students everywhere.

The current edition of Chemistry Principles is in Adobe PDF format for viewing with a web browser, using Acrobat.

Permission is granted to read Chemistry Principles freely, but copying in any form without permission is expressly prohibited.

Suggestions and authors' contributions are welcome.
