Short Term Loans
The Dean of Students Office can authorize short term loans to help you out.
Loans requirements:
You must be a student; UNM faculty/staff are not eligible.
You must be enrolled for a minimum of six semester hours.*
Your GPA is 2.0 or higher.
You have no other outstanding short-term loans at UNM.
You have no past due amount on your UNM Student Account.
You need to fill out a Short Term Loans Application at the Dean of Students Office. The maximum amount is $800, and the due date is 45 days from the day you filled out the application. You can pick up a check at the Bursar's Office usually within a few days. There will be 1% fee per month for this loan.
* During summer school, you must be enrolled for summer, or evidence enrollment for preceding spring and subsequent fall semester.
* During intersession (between semesters), you must be enrolled for the subsequent semester or have been registered for the preceding semester.
