MSME Graduation Checklist / Paperwork Flow Chart 

This information sheet lists required paperwork and timing only, from the student’s viewpoint.

	Advisor Assignment Form (Dept)	first semester (preferably)
	Committee-on-Studies (Dept)	second semester or before 12 credit hours
	Program of Studies for the Master’s Degree (OGS)	10/1 (spring), 3/1 (summer), 7/1 (fall)
	Intent to Graduate (Dept)	12/10 (spring graduation), 5/10 (summer), 7/25 (fall)
	Announcement of Exam (OGS)	2 weeks before defense
	Report of Exam w/g sheets (OGS)	Plan I: within a 2-week period after defense; Plan II: immediately following defense

DEADLINES: Complete all degree requirements (including defense). In case of Plan I, make all necessary revisions to the manuscript and have it accepted by OGS (including Information Cover Sheet and Certificate of Final Form).

The following deadlines are strictly enforced by the OGS:

Spring Graduation - April 15

Fall Graduation - November 15
