The Economic department serves both majors and non-majors. Exposure to economics and an understanding of basic economic principles is the foundation of undergraduate education for students in every academic discipline. We offer a myriad of courses focusing on international and national economic issues. These courses are particularly useful for careers in the arts, law, business, or medicine. The University of New Mexico Department of Economics is housed under the College of Arts and Sciences. Our department specializes in environmental and natural resources, labor and human resources, public finance and econometrics. Degree options in Undergraduate, Master of Arts and Doctorate programs are available. |
