Michael Morris

 

Michael Malahy Morris, Research Professor in Educational Leadership, has coordinated a national network dedicated to advancing adult learning, been a senior planner and development officer for the second largest indigenous tribe in North America, served as a Dean of Arts and Sciences at a small liberal arts college in New England, and directed a White House designated model project in Rural Development under both the Carter and Reagan administrations. Morris received his doctorate in Educational Policy and Higher Education from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst).


Morris has either authored or co-authored nearly $50 million dollars in successful federal, state, local and/or philanthropic funded grants or contracts for poor and low-income communities. He presently acts as Principal Investigator or Co-PI for $2.3 million annually in grants and contracts oriented towards community learning, literacy education and youth involvement in community improvement.
