The HDLS is the Linguistics student organization affiliated with UNM’s Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA), which allocates a small portion of student fees to HDLS to support its activities. The HDLS sponsors a variety of activities for the benefit of all Linguistics and Educational Linguistics students, including an e-mail discussion list (LINGGRADS-L), occasional lectures and brown-bag talks, a bi-annual international conference that attracts contributions from around the world, and conference proceedings. HDLS officers are elected bi-annually. You can contact HDLS at hdls@unm.edu and the GPSA office at 505 277-0803 or http://www.unm.edu/~gpsa/. You can also obtain more information at the HDLS web site: http://linggraduate.unm.edu/.
