ENG 440-540 Introduction to Old Irish This course will provide an introduction to the language of eighth- and ninth-century Ireland. Exercises in grammar will be supplemented with readings in selected short texts. The course will be of special interest to students of linguistics, Indo-European, mythology, and medieval literature, religion, and history.
