During this semester you will explore and use various techniques and genres of professional writing to produce a number of assignments that will familiarize you with the rich and varied writing opportunities offered in the professional context. We will discuss and write examples of these 'genres,' as well as develop an awareness and be able to apply principles of design and style in the professional writing context. We will also carefully revise and edit work. The class will be an intensive workshop to explore and practice professional writing skills and to develop professional and career goals.
