TA Resources

These resources are provided to equip our Teaching Assistants with the materials, ideas and information they will need as they begin or continue teaching English at UNM. The resources provided include:

• Teaching Basics – This section includes information on departmental policies and procedures, teaching options, syllabi, and plagiarism.
• Sample Sequences – This section includes five sequences that can be used to teach the “new” English 101, which focuses on multiple genres, audiences, and purposes, rather than strictly on essay-writing. Each sequence includes a description, daily activities, writing prompts, and readings.
• Service Learning Materials – This section includes readings on Service Learning, a description of Service Learning classes, and materials from current and past Service Learning teachers.

When you click on a document, you may be prompted to Open, Save, etc. Simply click on Open and the document you are accessing will be opened by the appropriate application. Formats include PDF and DOC.
