Felicia Barela

Felicia M. Barela will graduate in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, concentration in Professional Writing and a minor in Sociology. Her interests in Professional Writing include designing newsletters, brochures, and pamphlets, along with editing a wide assortment of documents. Felicia also enjoys creative writing, especially memoir. Currently, Felicia is an intern at the UNM Division of Student Affairs, where she writes, edits, and designs monthly newsletters, brochures, and advertisements. She also attends Division functions and serves as a beat reporter of those events. She is excited to gain experience as a professional writer with a department that oversees many programs and services offered to UNM students. After graduation, Felicia is open to a variety of Professional Writing venues that include design and editing. She also plans to pursue master’s level study in Professional Writing and/or Journalism in Washington or Oregon.
