So you know Tommy Chong of Cheach & Chong right?

Well after the break up of the comedy duo Cheach and Chong, Tommy Chong has been doing his own thing, staring in various movies and sit coms like That 70's Show, and stand up comedy.

One of his gigs is to periodicly come to Albuquerque and play at Laugh's Comedy Club. Of course all his jokes are geared towards stoner humor, and the best way to see him, quoting from Violent Femmes: "I'm flying high as kite, and I might, just stop to check out out..."

So I went to see his show fully prep'ed and primed and had a damn good laugh. Afterwards Chong and his wife, Tree, were out front of the club selling T-Shirts, misc. stuff, and these cool "incense burners." And I thought, "damn dude, they're so small, and convenient. One of those could fit in my pocket. I'd have a little mini "incense burner" where ever I go. I gotta have one of those."

But, shit, I had no money money on me. Time to go find an ATM. Still felling the effects and definitely in the mood for stoner comedy, I drove up Juan Tabo looking for an ATM, and then I drove down. Then I drove up, and then down again. Then I realized, "Woh, shit man, there's the ATM right across from the fricken club." But the ATM was inoperative at the time and so I still had no money on me and I lost my chance to get paraphernalia from Tommy Chong.

Well the next morning I stepped into Starbucks on central in nob hill, and I looked over, tapped my friend and say "woh dude, look who it is." So I got up the nerve to approach the famous Chong, and I told him about seeing his show and that it was damn cool. And I told him about wanting to buy some Chong paraphernalia, but that I had gotten lost the previous night looking for an ATM. I'm sure Chong was thinking, "Yeah right, stupid stoner. Users don't lose ATMs." So Chong said sure he would hook me up.

So we went out to the parking lot to the trunk of his car to make the deal. He even said, "woah man, I kinda feel like I'm making a drug deal." So I bought a T-shirt, poster, and an "incense burner" labeled "Chong's Bong" all from the trunk of Tommy Chong's car in a parking lot on central. It was damn cool.
