Ramah Project
EWB-UNM has completed the design for the solar thermal heating system in Ramah, New Mexico. This system will be used to heat a Hogan, a building which is used for educational purposes as well as for a weavers coop. This will allow access to the off-grid building year round. The design has been sent to EWB-USA for review. Testing of the solar thermal panels that will be used for the heating in Ramah will be conducted at UNM in order to ensure proper performance. Other components for the heating system are currently being researched. Implementation of the project in Ramah is tentatively scheduled for April. Contact Elena, the Ramah project lead at yelenab@unm.edu, to learn more about the project and how you can be a part of it.
