![]() Research Quest Day & UNM Undergraduate Research and Creativity ConferenceUniversity College is proud to present two signature events for our students who attend UNM! Research Quest Day and the UNM Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference are two events designed to motivate students to engage in peer reviewed research early on in their academic career through to graduation. Both events give students the opportunity to explore topics of interest and to share their projects in an atmosphere of diversity. By presenting, students gain valuable presentation and speaking experience, participate in a peer reviewed learning experience and are eligible for cash prizes. Venues for sharing projects include:
UNM Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference is an annual celebration of UNM students work organized by University College. The UNM Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference invite undergraduate students from all majors to participate. Project eligibility is open-ended and accommodates a wide spectrum of student work: from first-semester freshman to seniors completing a honors project. Collaboration with various UNM research programs is strongly encouraged and includes: The Ronald McNair Scholar Program and WISE (Women In Science and Engineering) to name a few. The event is free and open to the public. The UNM Undergraduate Research / Creativity Conference is held in the Spring semester (in the month of April) in the Student Union Building. Research Quest Day is a signature event that University College is pleased to present for our freshmen students. This is a new initiative entitled, Research Quest Day. This event is geared to display the works of primarily freshmen and students involved with the Research Service Learning Programs, Freshmen Academic Choices: FIG, FLC, LLC, CSS and FISC. This event takes place during the first or second week in November and is on a smaller scale, which encourages freshmen to participate as an invaluable learning experience, as they begin their academic journey at UNM. For more information, please see the Research Quest Day / UNM Undergraduate Research and Creativity Conference's Web site at http://explore.unm.edu. Also, please feel free to contact the Program Director (Marla Wyche-Hall) for additional information on both events, 505.277.8279.
Research and Creativity are the breeding grounds for Embracing Knowledge in an Atmosphere of Diversity! Thank you for your interest and please join us for this unique event!
