The FRI Graduate Student Paper Prize is awarded to an original paper written by a University of New Mexico graduate student who is working toward an M.A., Ph.D., law or other professional degree.
The author of the prize-winning paper will receive a $200 award and also give a public reading of the paper in the Fall semester 2010.
Essays will be judged on the use of feminist inquiry to analyze topics related to gender or sexuality; the quality and clarity of writing; originality; and effective use of primary source material where applicable. The essay must not have been previously published. |
Entry requirements:
20 pages maximum, not including bibliography and notes; 12 point font; double-spaced; footnotes or endnotes required; using the style of the entrant's academic discipline.
