Pictorial Tour of The University of New Mexico

It is intended to give you a brief tour of the campus of the University of New Mexico and features some of the buildings and campus sculptures.

Campus Map below shows the Center for the Arts in color and the adjacent visitor parking.
The Center for the Arts (or Popejoy Hall as it is commonly called) houses the College of Fine Arts administrative offices, offices of the Department of Theatre & Dance, Department of Music, Department of Media Arts, as well as the performance halls (one of which is Popejoy Hall), numerous classrooms, lecture halls, the Fine Arts Library and the University Art Museum. The Department of Art & Art History offices, studios, classrooms, John Sommers Gallery and the Bainbridge Bunting Memorial Slide Library are located in the Art Building directly to the west of the Center for the Arts. The Dance Program office, faculty offices and classrooms are in Carlisle Gym on the west side of Yale Pedestrian Mall.

Fine arts students have courses in many buildings around campus. The Humanities Building houses the offices of the Departments of English, Graduate Studies, Math and Linguistics. Zimmerman Library contains the general collection and the library administrative offices.

Scholes Hall houses the administrative
offices of the university including
the president and the provost.

The University campus is quite large and has garden spots and sculptures scattered between the buildings. The main campus is located between Central and Lomas Avenues and is bounded on the west by University Boulevard and on the east by Girard.
