In December 2002, the College of Fine Arts Alumni Chapter held its first Breakfast for the Arts. More than 100 people enjoyed an informative, entertaining morning of arts and cooking at National Restaurant Supply, Albuquerque. The event started with performances by UNM students, including Flamenco Program dancers and musical theater students from the Department of Theatre and Dance. Later, attendees enjoyed classical sounds from the UNM Music Faculty Trio, UNM Undergraduate Clarinet Quartet and the Abraham Franck Quartet.
Soirée Personal Caterers gave cooking demonstrations and Chef Jim White of Casa Viejo Restaurant, Corrales, taped a segment of his Channel 4 News cooking show.
