searching for the right slideThe Bainbridge Bunting Memorial Slide Library is devoted to the collection, documentation and dissemination of visual resources to foster and facilitate the study of the arts. The library provides access to over 300,000 documented slides, photographs and digital images illustrating the history of art and architecture from pre-historic times to the present. The collection's emphasis is on modern art and the arts of the Americas including one of the largest and most comprehensive academic collections of images of Native American art in the nation.

To integrate an awareness of the importance of documenting the visual with the study of art and culture, the library offers art history Ph.D. candidates a unique internship program. Interns apply the theoretical and critical thinking of their academic training to the research and organization of the visual chronicle of their area of expertise enriching their educational experience and the library's ever growing collections.
