Recital Requirements. For vocal performance, a full recital is required in each of the junior and senior years.

Piano Proficiency examinations apply to all students in Music, except keyboard concentrates or keyboard majors. This examination should be completed satisfactorily by the end of the fourth semester of music study. Piano proficiency exams will be given at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters.

NASM Membership. The University of New Mexico is a member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Requirements for entrance and graduation as set forth in the UNM Catalog are in accordance with published regulations for the National Association of Schools of Music.
