Theatre Classes for Young People

The Young Actor Prepares

Ages 9-11 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Center for the Arts room B427

Physical, vocal, and imagination exercises help students keep the spirit of creativity alive as they develop short performance pieces through creative drama and basic acting techniques.

The Story Players

Ages 6-8 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Center for the Arts room B409

Come along with us as we dramatize well-known children's stories as a means of developing imagination, self-confidence, concentration and other basic acting skills.

Basic Film Acting

Ages 12-15 from 10:30-12:00 a.m. Center for the Arts room B417

This course teaches the basics of camera work while inspiring actor's etiquette both on and off the set.

Imagination Station

Ages 4-5
9:30-10:30 a.m. Center for the Arts, Room B427

Creative drama activities for children geared to joyfully discovering dramatic expression through movement, imagination, and role playing.

Cost:

$70 for the Basic Film Acting
Payment should be made the first day of class.

Discounts:

For families with two or more children registering for classes one $10 discount is available. (A limited number of scholarships may also be available.)

Deadline for registration: January 21, 2004. The deadline for cancellation is February 4. there will be a 10% fee charged for cancellations.
