Catalog Description: A one- to three-hour seminar for 25 first term freshmen which meets once a week to explore the university, its resources, and how to enhance important skills for a positive college experience.

In this course, the entire semester will be dedicated to discovery, exploration, campus field trips, lectures, research, making new friends, information about financial aid, educational career planning, public speaking and learning how to be a successful UNM Lobo! You can be assured that the course material we will cover is going to be interactive. We will also focus on UNMs academic support system so that you can navigate your way to academic success. Other topics will include enhancing your own educational survival skills such as time management, and study strategies. This course will help you find your niche at UNM.
