If so, then the 2012 Freshmen Summer Bridge Program (FSBP) will give you a jump start and help ease your transition from high school to UNM!
FSBP is tentatively scheduled from June 3, 2012 to June 28, 2012.
- Cost free residential program
- You are a full time UNM student on June 3, 2012
- Earn UNM credit hours
- Room & board for 4-weeks in UNM campus housing
- Classes taught by professional faculty
- Tutors for FSBP classes always available
- LOBOrientation scheduled into program
- Get your UI\M ID & e-mail address
- Meet with academic advisor
o Design your program of studies
o Register for fall 2010 classes
- Workshops on college survival skills
o Study skills, time management, stress management, etc.
- Know where to find support services
o Tutoring
o Counseling
o Scholarships
o Others
- Become familiar with the UNM campus
- Develop a cohort of learners and lifelong friendships
- Must be admitted to the University of New Mexico for the fall 2012 semester
- Pursue a major course of study in a discipline of science, engineering or mathematics
- Complete and submit application packet by deadline date, March 9, 2012
- Commit to stay in the program to completion
