Will you be attending UNM during the fall 2012 semester?

Will you be pursuing studies in a discipline of engineering, science or mathematics?

If so, then the 2012 Freshmen Summer Bridge Program (FSBP) will give you a jump start and help ease your transition from high school to UNM!

FSBP is tentatively scheduled from June 3, 2012 to June 28, 2012.

  • Room & board for 4-weeks in UNM campus housing
  • Classes taught by professional faculty
  • Tutors for FSBP classes always available
  • LOBOrientation scheduled into program
  • Get your UI\M ID & e-mail address
  • Meet with academic advisor
    o Design your program of studies
    o Register for fall 2010 classes
  • Workshops on college survival skills
    o Study skills, time management, stress management, etc.
  • Know where to find support services
    o Tutoring
    o Counseling
    o Scholarships
    o Others
  • Become familiar with the UNM campus
  • Develop a cohort of learners and lifelong friendships

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the University of New Mexico for the fall 2012 semester
  • Pursue a major course of study in a discipline of science, engineering or mathematics
  • Complete and submit application packet by deadline date, March 9, 2012
  • Commit to stay in the program to completion
