Intergroup Meetings

In order to develop policy recommendations that are not excessively compartmentalized, each group must take into account the prospective policy initiatives of other groups to assure that policies are not duplicative or mutually inconsistent. Intergroup meetings provide a forum for dialogue and consultation on such issues.

Each group should be prepared to discuss its policy objectives and prospective policy recommendations (preferably in written form) with each other group.  Intergroup meetings are the basic mechanism for achieving this objective.

Task

Following the intergroup meetings, return to your sector group to discuss the significance of the other groups’ strategies with respect to your group strategy.  Summarize the conclusions that you draw from this discussion.  Submit a written document to the instructor.
