Studio # 6  Position Paper Draft

The studio groups focus on thematic areas relating to the problems we analyze in this class.  The groups are:  Drug trafficking; Weapons trafficking; Weapons of Mass Destruction; Strategy of Insurgency and Counterinsurgency; and Ideology.

Each student is a member of one of the groups.  Each student is called upon to develop a 3-5 page “Position Paper” on the subject of a policy recommendation.  The position paper is a component of the group’s General Assembly presentation.   It is also submitted for course credit to the instructor at the end of the term.

In this meeting the group should discuss the position papers of the individual contributors.  Each student should have the opportunity to raise questions with respect to the importance of each position paper in developing a comprehensive and integrated presentation during the General Assembly.  Each student should have at least a draft statement regarding the position paper topic and conclusions.
