Please consider my essay, “Macular Degeneration,” for publication in North Dakota Quarterly.  The essay is a self-contained section of a larger work which explores the life and the people in the remote northern Nevada town of Mountain City, population thirty.  My family has lived in and around the town since the late 1860's.
