| Double Star Courses |
| |
| A graduate or non-degree graduate student will automatically receive graduate credit for any courses marked with a single asterisk (*). |
| |
| The double asterisk (**) is used to designate courses that are available for graduate credit for students outside the discipline in which the course is offered. This is not an automatic process. A graduate or non-degree graduate student who wants to enroll in a ** course must complete a green card. Each student is required to obtain the appropriate signatures (Office of Graduate Studies and the instructor) before delivering the card to the Registrar’s Office where the final step – changing the course level – is made.
|
| |
| A graduate student majoring in the same discipline as the ** course, may take the course for undergraduate credit using the same green card process. |
| |
Examples of ** restrictions are:
-
Physics graduate student enrolling in **CE 372 for graduate credit
(BANNER CODE: Student = GR, Course = GR)
-
Non-degree graduate student (Physics applicant) enrolling in **MATH 319
(BANNER CODE: Student = NG, Course = NG)
-
Math graduate student enrolling in **MATH 501
(BANNER CODE: Student = GR, Course = UG)
