Fraternity Joining Information
For more information or for a complete schedule of rush events,
please fill out our Information Request Form. Once we receive the
form, we will mail you a brochure and a calendar of events, times
and locations. This packet will also contain the contact names and
numbers of the recruitment chairs from each of the fraternities
in case you have specific questions or desire more information about
their events.
What Can You Expect During Fraternity Recruitment?
Fraternity Recruitment is a week-long series of social events sponsored
by each individual fraternity. Each group will have its own schedule
of events for Recruitment Week. You don't need an invitation to
attend the events, and you can go to as many or a few as you like.
As you attend more of them, you will begin to feel most comfortable
with certain fraternities and will spend your time with them. Ask
questions of the members and see if you can imagine yourself as
a brother. Fraternities can "give bids" (ask you to join) at any
time (except at the Greek Forum), and you may receive more than
one bid during the week (or later). Some fraternities may offer
bids early in the week, and some may wait until later, so don't
feel like you have to accept any bid right away. If you have any
questions, the Interfraternity Councils officers can help, and so
can Student Activities Center staff members. Good luck and have
fun! If you have any other further questions, please call (505)
277-4706.
