Sorority Joining Information Fall 2007 Panhellenic Recruitment: August 12th - 16th, 2007 
If you are unable to participate in sorority recruitment during this time period, please stop by Student Activities in the Student Union Building and fill out an open recruitment form. This will permit the sororities who continue to recruit potential new members to call you for event dates and times. For more information and more detailed schedules for recruitment activities, please fill out the information request form below. Recruitment Guides Six women have been chosen to serve as Recruitment Guides (also known as "Rho Gammas"). They have been selected to help you during sorority recruitment. These women are all members of sororities at UNM (but don't ask them which chapters they belong to--they can't tell you yet!). They are here to answer questions and help you explore your options during Recruitment Week. Feel free to discuss your experiences and questions with them. What Can You Expect During Sorority Recruitment? Recrutiment (Rush) is a series of social events sponsored by each sorority. Women's Recruitment is very structured, with set event times and invitations. The first night, you will attend an orientation session to introduce you to your Rho Gamma and your Recruitment Group. Then you will attend Open House events at all four sorority houses. During the next three days, you will pick up your invitations to each night's events at around noon. You will attend up to three events on each of those evenings. On Wednesday night, you will have the opportunity to choose which sorority, if any, you would like to join. Invitations to membership (Bids) will be extended on Thursday, and that night new members will attend welcome functions at the sorority houses. Please remember that you must attend all Recruitment functions to be eligible to participate in Recruitment (please plan now to get off of work). During the entire process, your Rho Gammas will be ready to assist you and your recruitment group. We have planned Recruitment to be a fun and exciting process--a great way to make new friends and an opportunity to join a group you will belong to for a lifetime. We look forward to meeting you!
