ABOUT ME

I was born in Washington State with a strong interest in the outdoors and an innate love of hiking, camping, and horses.  I grew up with one older brother, and we lived in the country at the end of a dead end road.  Even as a young girl, I loved to ride my horse into the woods, tie her to a tree, and read a library book all afternoon.  I also learned early that if I was away from home, my mom couldn't give me chores.

I graduated from Washington State University and obtained a Masters in English from the Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.

I lived in Ketchikan, Alaska, for ten years working as a legal secretary, a tugboat cook, a construction company secretary, and a Jury Clerk.  It was a ten-year adventure that truly changed my outlook on life.

I now live in Veguita, New Mexico, with my husband, Curt, and our two dogs, Maggie and Yanqui.  We love New Mexico, and I am proud to be part of the University of New Mexico on the Valencia Campus, a place filled with wonderful people.
