SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

The School of Engineering's mission is to prepare tomorrow's engineers through comprehensive, affordable education based on intimate interaction with the creators and practitioners of new technologies. The local, regional, and distant members of the diverse community of students, faculty, and staff are actively engaged with all segments of industry, government, and academia. The School's students experience strongly interactive learning in a vibrant physical, intellectual, and cultural environment.

The School of Engineering comprises five academic departments:

• Chemical and Nuclear Engineering;
• Civil Engineering;
• Computer Science;
• Electrical and Computer Engineering; and
• Mechanical Engineering.

The Dean of the School of Engineering reports to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
