Claudia Lopez, Master Tutor

Welcome....I look forward to helping you succeed with your education. In fall of 2002, after being out of school for 20 years, I embarked on my higher education path by attending classes at UNM Valencia Campus. I received my GED in 2004, continuing on to receive my Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Technology in 2006. I graduated May 2010 with my Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts. I plan to attend graduate school in spring 2011. The best advice I can offer is to Never Give Up! -- Always stay positive and see a tutor as often as possible.

Hi all. I enjoy working with students, my peer tutors, and the Highway staff. I am double majoring in Digital Media Arts and Studio Arts. Hello Everyone! Being a tutor is such an enjoyment. Knowing I have helped a student understand material and just making a difference here in the "Highway to Success program brings a feeling of great satisfaction. I am currently working an a Bachelors Degree in Criminalogy. I realize that classes can be tough at times and the help of peers, classmates, and tutors is beneficial. Hi there! Allow me to inntroduce myself. My name is Joanna. I like fresh grapes, peanut butter M&M's® , and sour gummy worms. My favorite color is blue, and my favorite holiday is Christmas. Since becoming a student at UNM-Valencia, I have become certified in Microsoft ® Word ® 2007. And now, I am a tutor at "Highway to Success"! As a former "Highway to Success" math student, I know what wonderful things can happen in this program. My professors and tutors truly helped me toward realizing my own success as a student. I enjoy seeing the proverbial "light-bulb" go on for others as they understand new concepts. Therefore, it is my pleasure to join the team at "Highway to Success"!
