Administrative Pages
Most of the important forms and policies relating to undergraduate and graduate study of history at UNM can be found on these pages. In general, questions about how and when to file forms with the department should be directed to History Department staff. Faculty Undergraduate and Honors Advisors guide undergraduate students majoring and minoring in History, while the faculty Graduate Director, in consultation with the faculty Graduate Advisory Committee (GAC), administers graduate policies, reviews petitions, and provides administrative advice to students in the graduate program.
Through its participation in the Carnegie Initiative on the Doctorate, the UNM Department of History has recently revised its doctoral program requirements. Students enrolled prior to Fall, 2007 may follow the previous program, while those enrolling after that date are governed by the new (post-2007) requirements.
