Profile
Dr. Ball is the current editor of the New Mexico Historical Review and is also developing a public history program for the department. In addition to offering courses on public history, Ball also teaches courses on New Mexico and the American West. He is a specialist in U.S. military history, with a particular focus on the U.S. Army in the antebellum West. Before accepting his current position with the Department of History, he was an acquisitions editor with University of New Mexico Press for nine years.
