Profile

Dr. Reyes has been a member of the history faculty since completing her doctorate in 2000. Specializing in Chicano/a history, Dr. Reyes offers undergraduate courses on Early and Contemporary Chicano history, New Mexico history, Borderlands history, Hispanic Frontier history, and Immigration history, as well as gender studies. She also offers graduate seminars on special topics in Chicano Political and Intellectual history. Currently, Dr. Reyes is awaiting publication of her first book: Private Women/Public Lives: Gender and the Nineteenth Century California Missions.
