Profile
Professor Spidle is particularly interested in the history of modern medicine, especially that of New Mexico and the American Southwest. His ongoing research focuses on these areas, but from his research in British medicine, he has branched into a broader study of the Victorian Age. He is presently working on two major research projects, one focused on the development of public health in twentieth century New Mexico and the other involving Victorian biography and social history.
