Amanda Vesey-Askey is an EEO Compliance Specialist with the UNM Office of Equal Opportunity where she investigates Civil Rights complaints, reviews Faculty hiring processes, and implements outreach efforts. Amanda received her Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from the University of Chicago and holds a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from UNM. She also has completed a paralegal certification course through Earthnet Institute. Before joining the UNM staff in 2006, Amanda had thirteen years of collective bargaining and labor relations experience representing employees in both the public and private sectors as well as serving five years in a management capacity.
