PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The goal of this two-hour workshop is to help you gain a basic understanding of The American with Disabilities Act (1990)as it pertains to UNM policy.
You will learn about:
1. Applicable Laws
2. Relevant University Policies
3. Your Rights and Responsibilities
We will review specific case studies and end with a complete overview.

Upon completion of the class participants should have a basic understanding of:
- Concepts and terminology of the ADA
- "Reasonable Accommodation"
- "Interactive Process"
- The purpose and importance of Documentation and confidentiality
- Internal UNM Processes
- Rights and Responsibilities
WHO SHOULD
ATTEND?
UNM Managers, Supervisors and Staff are encouraged to attend to learn about their rights and responsibilities as it pertains to UNM policy.
