Grants Management Program: General Workshop

 

   

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This workshop is for all UNM faculty and staff who serve as Principal Investigators (PIs) or Co-Prinicipal Investigators (Co-PIs) on a contract and grant award. UNM is committed to providing assistance in addressing the increase in responsibilities of administration associated with sponsored projects. The General Workshop is a requirement for all PIs and Co-PIs. Topics covered include regulations, policies and procedures that pertain to the sound management of sponsored projects.

2 Hours

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have an understanding of::

  • The UNM proposal review and submission process.
  • Issues concerning project integrity and compliance.
  • The post award process.
  • The role of audit and common audit expectations.
  • The role and responsibility of the PI.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

All PIs and Co-PIs with a new award or renewal must attend within a semester after receiving notification of award or renewal. Other interested PIs and staff will be accommodated, space permitting.

None

INSTRUCTOR(S)

Representatives from the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development, Contract and Grant Accounting Office, HSC Financial Services, and Internal Audit Department.
