PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
This workshop is for all UNM faculty and staff who serve as Principal
Investigators (PIs) or Co-Prinicipal Investigators (Co-PIs) on a contract
and grant award. UNM is committed to providing assistance in addressing
the increase in responsibilities of administration associated with sponsored
projects. The General Workshop is a requirement for all PIs and Co-PIs.
Topics covered include regulations, policies and procedures that pertain
to the sound management of sponsored projects.

Upon completion
of the workshop, participants will have an understanding of::
- The UNM
proposal review and submission process.
- Issues
concerning project integrity and compliance.
- The post
award process.
- The role
of audit and common audit expectations.
- The role
and responsibility of the PI.
WHO SHOULD
ATTEND?
All PIs and Co-PIs with a new award or renewal must attend within a semester
after receiving notification of award or renewal. Other interested PIs
and staff will be accommodated, space permitting.
