PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION
Research tells us that group involvement in the decision-making process builds commitment. Actually obtaining group input and buy-in, however, can be quite challenging, especially when time is of essence. In this workshop you will learn practical tools for generating a large list of ideas within a group and then quickly narrowing the list until a decision is made. You will also learn when it's important to reach consensus, and when other types of decisions – democratic, consultative, directive – might be more appropriate. These tools will help managers obtain input and buy-in in their workgroup and also assist team leaders to facilitate decision-making within committees or project teams.
