Preventing Sexual Harassment in Your Workplace

 

   

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The commitment of the University of New Mexico is to:

1. Have a sexual harassment free working environment
2. PREVENT inappropriate conduct before it gets to sexual harassment

In this two-hour workshop, a representative from the Office of Equal Opportunity will discuss how you can prevent sexual harassment from happening in your workplace. We will also discuss how to recognize and respond to sexual harassment by reviewing UNM Policies #3780 and #2200.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


Upon completion of the class participants should know how to:

  • Prevent sexual harassment in their workplaces to ensure a positive working environment.
  • Negate costs of uncomfortable and inappropriate working environment on victims and the institution.
  • Access and use as a resource, UNM policies #3780 and #2200.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

UNM Managers, Supervisors and Staff are encouraged to attend to learn about their rights and responsibilities as it pertains to UNM policy.

TEACHING METHODS

Lecture, small and big group discussion.
